Abstract
A vaporizing assembly for an aerosol-generating system may comprise a delivery device and a heater assembly. The heater assembly may comprise a heat resistive substrate and a heating element. The delivery device is configured to deliver an aerosol-forming substrate to at least a surface of the heat resistive substrate, wherein the heating element is isolated or separated from the aerosol-forming substrate by the heat resistive substrate. The present disclosure is also directed to a method for generating an aerosol.
Claims15
A vaporizing assembly of an aerosol-generating system, comprising:
- a heater assembly including a heat resistive substrate and a heating element, the heat resistive substrate including a first surface and an opposing second surface, the heating element disposed on the second surface of the heat resistive substrate;
- and
- a delivery device configured to deliver an aerosol-forming substrate to the first surface of the heat resistive substrate.
A method for generating an aerosol, comprising:
- storing an aerosol-forming substrate in a storage portion of an aerosol-generating system;
- providing a heater assembly configured to receive the aerosol-forming substrate, the heater assembly including a heat resistive substrate and a heating element;
- delivering the aerosol-forming substrate from the storage portion to the heater assembly via a delivery device, the delivery device being in fluidic communication with the storage portion;
- and
- volatilizing the aerosol-forming substrate delivered to the heater assembly by activating the heating element, the heating element being separated from the aerosol-forming substrate by the heat resistive substrate during the volatilizing.
