A location information transmission apparatus includes a location information measuring unit configured to receive a radio wave from outside to acquire location data, a storage unit configured to store the location data, a location information transmitting unit configured to transmit the location data stored in the storage unit to the outside, a movement detecting unit configured to detect an amount of movement, and a transmission control unit configured to, in a case where the movement detecting unit detects an amount of movement equal to or greater than a predetermined amount, cause the location data to be transmitted from the location information transmitting unit to the outside.
