Abstract
A network node (110), a first device (111) and methods therein for managing a HARQ parameter indicating a number of autonomous HARQ transmission attempts to be applied for a transmission on at least one D2D link between the first device (111) and the second device (112) are disclosed. The method comprises determining (A010) a load relating to D2D communication between at least the first and second devices (111, 112). Next, the HARQ parameter is determined (A020) based on the load. Corresponding computer programs and carriers therefor are also disclosed.

A method for managing a Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) parameter indicating a number of autonomous HARQ transmission attempts to be applied for a transmission on at least one Device-To-Device (D2D) link between a first device and a second device, the method comprising:
- determining a load relating to D2D communication between at least the first and second devices;
- and
- determining the HARQ parameter based on the load.
A network node configured to manage a Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) parameter indicating a number of autonomous HARQ transmission attempts to be applied for a transmission on at least one Device-To-Device (D2D) link between a first device and a second device, the network node comprising:
- a processing circuit configured to cause the network node to:
- determine a load relating to D2D communication between at least the first and second devices;
- determine the HARQ parameter based on the load;
- and
- send the determined HARQ parameter to at least the first device.
A first device configured for managing a Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) parameter indicating a number of autonomous HARQ transmission attempts to be applied for a transmission on at least one Device-To-Device (D2D) link between the first device and a second device, the first device comprising:
- a processing circuit configured to cause the first device to:
- determine a load relating to D2D communication between at least the first and second devices;
- and
- determine the HARQ parameter based on the load.
A computer program product stored in a non-transitory computer readable medium for managing a Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) parameter indicating a number of autonomous HARQ transmission attempts to be applied for a transmission on at least one Device-To-Device (D2D) link between a first device and a second device, the computer program product comprising software instructions which, when run on a processing circuit of a network node or the first device, causes the corresponding network node or first device to:
- determine a load relating to D2D communication between at least the first and second devices;
- and
- determine the HARQ parameter based on the load.
