A production process for carbon-coated silicon material, the production process comprising the step of:
- heating CaSi2 and a halogen-containing polymer at a temperature being a carbonization temperature or more of the halogen-containing polymer in a state where the CaSi2 and the halogen-containing polymer coexist.
A carbon-coated silicon material comprising a plurality of plate-shaped silicon bodies laminating in a thickness direction thereof and coated by carbon, the carbon-coated silicon material further comprising voids existing in an interior thereof.
