Workflow server with enhanced document release

A method comprising:

• receiving data for a release event over a communication medium, wherein completion of the release event results in at least one document being sent over a predetermined channel at a predetermined time for an intended audience;
• processing a step of the workflow selected for the release event to identify an authorized user;
• causing a display device to display information of the release event;
• determining whether the release event is valid based on a response from the authorized user;
• and
• sending the at least one document over the predetermined channel at the predetermined time when it is determined that the release event is valid.

A non-transitory computer readable medium embodying programmed instructions which, when executed by a processor, are operable for performing a method comprising:

• receiving data for a release event over a communication medium, wherein completion of the release event results in at least one document being sent over a predetermined channel at a predetermined time for an intended audience;
• processing the different step of the workflow selected for the release event to identify an authorized user;
• causing a display device to display information of the release event;
• determining whether the release event is valid based on a response from the authorized user;
• and
• sending the at least one document over the predetermined channel at the predetermined time when it is determined that the release event is valid.
