Data Storage and Communications Method and System for Worker Injury Tracking and Claim Handling

A system for managing workers' compensation claims comprising:

• a plurality of user accounts, each user account having credentials indicating at least a user type and level of access;
• and
• a centralized electronic portal comprising:
• a plurality of user interfaces, each corresponding to one of the user types;
• a file management module comprising a database and a plurality of actions configured to create a new workers' compensation claim file, associate at least one of the user accounts with the workers' compensation claim file, create new documents for the workers' compensation claim file and store them in the database, retrieve and display documents for the workers' compensation claim file previously stored in the database, and edit documents for the workers' compensation claim file previously stored in the database, wherein at least one of the plurality of actions are accessible by each of the plurality of user accounts based on the user type and level of access of its corresponding credentials;
• a telepresence module configured to establish a video connection between at least 2 of the user accounts and record at least a portion of the video connection as a document in the database;
• and
• a notification module configured to send an alert to at least one of the plurality of user accounts associated with the workers' compensation claim file.
