Touch Sensitive Processing Method, Apparatus and System for Setting Palm Rejection Area

A touch sensitive processing apparatus for setting a palm rejection area comprising:

• a sensing circuit connected with a plurality of touch sensitive electrodes of a touch screen for sensing a stylus and an external conductive object;
• and
• a processor connected with the sensing circuit for setting a vertex of the palm rejection area based on a proximity or touch location of the stylus;
• setting a rejection area baseline vector extending from the vertex based on a stylus shaft vector of the stylus projected on a touch screen;
• defining an area covered by rotating the rejection area baseline vector around the vertex by a clockwise angle and an anticlockwise angle as the palm rejection area;
• and
• ignoring any proximity or touch event of an external conductive object detected in the palm rejection area.

A touch sensitive system for setting a palm rejection area comprising:

• a stylus;
• a touch screen including a plurality of touch sensitive electrodes;
• and
• a touch sensitive processing apparatus including:
• a sensing circuit connected with the plurality of touch sensitive electrodes for sensing a stylus and an external conductive object;
• and
• a processor connected with the sensing circuit for setting a vertex of the palm rejection area based on a proximity or touch location of the stylus;
• setting a rejection area baseline vector extending from the vertex based on a stylus shaft vector of the stylus projected on the touch screen;
• defining an area covered by rotating the rejection area baseline vector around the vertex by a clockwise angle and an anticlockwise angle as the palm rejection area;
• and ignoring any proximity or touch event of an external conductive object detected in the palm rejection area.
