Device and method for displaying full azimuth angle domain image data

A system for displaying a partially hollowed structure representing one or more seismic image data points, the system comprising:

• one or more processors configured to compute, from a wide-azimuth data set, a discrete data set including multiple azimuths associated with an image function for each of a plurality of seismic image data points, to map the data sets for the plurality of seismic image data points onto a plurality of respective continuous planar surfaces, to assemble the plurality of continuous planar surfaces into a three-dimensional body, and to display one or more of the plurality of continuous planar surfaces as solid planar surfaces and one or more of the plurality of continuous planar surfaces as transparent planar surfaces.
