Transfer of communication parameters

An apparatus, comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one memory including computer program code,
• wherein the at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to
• receiving, at an intermediate entity from a first entity, signaling including at least one parameter describing a user plane payload format that the first entity wants to receive and an encoding that the first entity wants to receive;
• forward, by the intermediate entity, the at least one parameter in signaling to a second entity;
• and
• signal, by the intermediate entity when media no longer needs to be sent towards the first entity but towards a third entity, the at least one parameter to the third entity.

An apparatus, comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one memory including computer program code,
• wherein the at least one memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to
• receive, at a third entity from an intermediate entity when media no longer needs to be sent towards a first entity but towards the third entity, at least one parameter, wherein the at least one parameter is configured to describe a user plane payload format that the first entity wants to receive and an encoding that the first entity wants to receive;
• and
• use the at least one parameter to select the payload format and encoding the third entity will use to receive user plane packets.
