Service delivery in a communication network

A method of controlling service delivery of data in a communication network, the method comprising, at an interaction device:

• receiving, from a mobile device, information relating to a service and a request for information relating to a Radio Access Network to which the mobile device is attached;
• sending, to a remote device in the Radio Access Network, a message including the information relating to the service;
• receiving, from the remote device, a recommended service delivery parameter relating to delivery of the service from a server to the mobile device;
• sending the recommended service delivery parameter towards the mobile device.

A mobile device for use in a communication network, the mobile device comprising:

• a transmitter to send, to an interaction device, information relating to a service and requesting information relating to a Radio Access Network to which the mobile device is attached;
• a receiver to receive, from a remote device, the requested information;
• a processor to use the received information to establish a service delivery parameter relating to delivery of the service from a server to the mobile device;
• a second transmitter to send towards the server a request for data, the request including the established service delivery parameter;
• and
• a second receiver to receive, from the server, data sent using the service delivery parameter.

An interaction device for use in controlling service delivery of data in a communication network, the interaction device comprising:

• a first receiver to receive, from a mobile device, information relating to a service and a request for information relating to a Radio Access Network to which the mobile device is attached;
• a first transmitter to send, to a remote device in the Radio Access Network, a message including the information relating to the service;
• a second receiver to receive, from the remote device, a recommended service delivery parameter relating to delivery of the service from a server to the mobile device;
• a second transmitter arranged to send the recommended service delivery parameter towards the mobile device.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:

• sending, to an interaction device, information relating to a service and requesting information relating to a Radio Access Network to which a mobile device is attached;
• receiving, from a remote device, the requested information;
• using the received information, establishing a service delivery parameter relating to delivery of the service from a server to the mobile device;
• sending towards the server a request for data, the request including the established service delivery parameter;
• and
• receiving, from the server, data sent using the service delivery parameter.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, from a mobile device, information relating to a service and a request for information relating to a Radio Access Network to which the mobile device is attached;
• sending, to a remote device in the Radio Access Network, a message including the information relating to the service;
• receiving, from the remote device, a recommended service delivery parameter relating to delivery of the service from a server to the mobile device;
• sending the recommended service delivery parameter towards the mobile device.
