Information processing apparatus and control method thereof

An information processing apparatus which is capable of communicating with an image forming apparatus, the information processing apparatus comprising:

• a display control unit configured to display a selection screen for selecting an attribute of print;
• and
• a determination unit configured to determine a sheet attribute that is used to perform printing based on the attribute of print,
• wherein sheet information for a feed tray of the image forming apparatus is stored in the image forming apparatus,
• wherein, if the sheet attribute determined by the determination unit corresponds to the sheet information stored in the image forming apparatus, printing is performed, and
• wherein, if the sheet attribute determined by the determination unit does not correspond to the sheet information stored in the image forming apparatus, the sheet information stored in the image forming apparatus and an option corresponding to a print cancel are displayed in a display area and a processing based on an instruction input via the display area is performed.

A control method for controlling an information processing apparatus which is capable of communicating with an image forming apparatus, the method comprising:

• displaying a selection screen for selecting an attribute of print;
• and
• determining a sheet attribute that is used to perform printing based on the attribute of print,
• wherein sheet information for a feed tray of the image forming apparatus is stored in the image forming apparatus,
• wherein, if the determined sheet attribute corresponds to the sheet information stored in the image forming apparatus, printing is performed, and
• wherein, if the determined sheet attribute does not correspond to the sheet information stored in the image forming apparatus, the sheet information stored in the image forming apparatus and an option corresponding to a print cancel are displayed in a display area and a processing based on an instruction input via the display area is performed.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a computer program which causes a computer to execute steps of a control method for controlling an information processing apparatus which is capable of communicating with an image forming apparatus, the program comprising:

• code for displaying a selection screen for selecting an attribute of print;
• and
• code for determining a sheet attribute that is used to perform printing based on the attribute of print,
• wherein sheet information for a feed tray of the image forming apparatus is stored in the image forming apparatus,
• wherein, if the determined sheet attribute corresponds to the sheet information stored in the image forming apparatus, printing is performed, and
• wherein, if the determined sheet attribute does not correspond to the sheet information stored in the image forming apparatus, the sheet information stored in the image forming apparatus and an option corresponding to a print cancel are displayed in a display area and a processing based on an instruction via the display area is performed.
