Methods and apparatuses for receiving and sending control channel

A network device, comprising:

• a transmitter, and a processor communicatively connected with the transmitter, wherein
• the transmitter is configured to send, to a terminal device, scheduling information over a control channel of a first type within a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) region in a downlink subframe in a carrier;
• and send, to the terminal device, scheduling information over a control channel of a second type within an evolved physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH) region in the downlink subframe containing the PDCCH region,
• wherein the control channel of the first type is different from the control channel of the second type, and the control channel of the first type is a control channel of a common search space but not a control channel of a search space specific to the terminal device, the control channel of the second type is a control channel of the search space specific to the terminal device but not a control channel of the common search space.

An apparatus, comprising

• a non-transitory computer readable storage medium including executable instructions;
• and
• a processor;
• wherein the executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
• send, to a terminal device, scheduling information over a control channel of a first type within a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) region in a downlink subframe in a carrier;
• and
• send, to the terminal device, scheduling information over a control channel of a second type within an evolved physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH) region in the downlink subframe containing the PDCCH region, wherein the control channel of the first type is different from the control channel of the second type, and the control channel of the first type is a control channel of a common search space but not a control channel of a search space specific to the terminal device, the control channel of the second type is a control channel of the search space specific to the terminal device but not a control channel of the common search space.
