Abstract
A cathode active material contains a compound represented by composition formula (1): LixNay{LiαNaβMn(1−α−β−z)Az}O2. In the formula, A represents at least one selected from the group consisting of Co, Ni, Fe, and Al, and the following conditions are met: 0.75≦x≦1.0, 0<y≦0.01, 0.75<x+y≦1, 0.16≦α≦0.3, 0<β≦0.01, 0.2≦α+β≦0.3, and 0≦z≦0.15.

A cathode active material comprising a compound represented by composition formula (1):
- LixNay{LiαNaβMn(1−α−β−z)Az}O2 (1)
- where A represents at least one selected from the group consisting of Co, Ni, Fe, and Al, and the following conditions are met:
- 0.75≦x≦1.0;
- 0<y≦0.01;
- 0.75<x+y≦1;
- 0.16≦α≦0.3;
- 0<β≦0.01;
- 0.2<α+β≦0.3;
- and
- 0≦z0.15.

- a cathode containing a cathode active material;
- an anode;
- and
- an electrolyte;
- wherein
- the cathode active material contains a compound represented by composition formula (1):
- LixNay{LiαNaβMn(1−α−β−z)Az}O2 (1)
- where A represents at least one selected from the group consisting of Co, Ni, Fe, and Al, and the following conditions are met:
