Abstract
Compositions and methods for detecting, inhibiting, treating, and/or preventing a liver disease or disorder such as cholestasis or fibrotic liver disease are provided.
Claims12
A method of treating, inhibiting, and/or preventing a liver disorder in a subject, said method comprising administering to said subject at least one antisense oligonucleotide, wherein said antisense oligonucleotide specifically hybridizes with the miR-27a cluster or the miR-182 cluster.
A method of detecting the presence of liver injury in a subject, said method comprising detecting the presence of the miR-27a cluster and/or the miR-182 cluster in a biological sample from said subject,
- wherein an increase in the amount of the miR-27a cluster and/or the miR-182 cluster compared to levels in a biological sample from a healthy sample indicates that said subject has a liver injury.
