Abstract
The present invention encompasses compositions and methods for effectively treating at least one symptom or sign of Aβ plaque associated symptoms or for decreasing amyloid plaque loads. The method comprises administering an effective amount of an anti-ApoE antibody to a living mammalian biosystem such as to a human.

A method of treating at least one symptom or sign of Aβ plaque associated symptoms in a subject which comprises administering an effective amount of at least one anti-ApoE antibody to that subject.
A method of decreasing the amyloid plaque load in the brain of a subject, the method comprising administering an effective amount of at least one anti-ApoE antibody to that subject.
