Abstract
A fused heterocyclic compound having an enteropeptidase inhibitory action and use of the compound as a medicament for treatment or prophylaxis of obesity, diabetes mellitus, etc., are provided. Specifically, a compound represented by the following formula (I): wherein each symbol is as defined herein, or a salt thereof and use of the compound as a medicament for treatment or prophylaxis of obesity, diabetes mellitus, etc., are provided.

A compound represented by the formula (I):
- wherein
- ring A represents a benzene ring optionally substituted by 1 to 3 substituents selected from a halogen atom, an optionally substituted C1-6 alkyl group, and an optionally substituted C1-6 alkoxy group;
- R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-6 alkyl group substituted by COOH;
- and
- R2 represents a C1-6 alkyl group substituted by one or two COOH and further optionally substituted by SO3H,
- or a salt thereof.
N-(((3S)-6-((4-Carbamimidamidobenzoyl)oxy)-2,3-dihydro-1-benzofuran-3-yl)acetyl)-L-aspartic acid or a salt thereof.
N-(((3R)-6-((4-Carbamimidamidobenzoyl)oxy)-2,3-dihydro-1-benzofuran-3-yl)acetyl)-L-aspartic acid or a salt thereof.
