Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a plant extract which comprises o-diphenol type chlorogenic acids in a high concentration. Also, it is to provide a plant extract excellent in deodorizing property or anti-oxidation property, which does not substantially comprise ferulylquinic acids and caffeine content. The present invention provides a plant extract, which comprises chlorogenic acids comprising an o-diphenol type chlorogenic acid and does not substantially comprise ferulylquinic acid and caffeine, which is excellent in deodorizing property or anti-oxidation property.
Claims9
A method for producing a plant extract which comprises chlorogenic acids comprising an o-diphenol chlorogenic acid and ferulylquinic acid and caffeine, wherein the ferulyquinic acid is contained in an amount of less than 0.3% by mass based on the total amount of the plant extract and the caffeine is contained in an amount of less than 0.1% by mass based on the total amount of the plant extract,
- wherein the method comprises at least a step of subjecting a plant comprising a chlorogenic acid to an extraction treatment using water or a hydrous water miscible organic solvent, a step of subjecting the aforementioned extraction treated matter to a contact treatment with a synthetic resin adsorbent, and a step of concentrating the unadsorbed solution on synthetic resin adsorbent obtained by the aforementioned contact treatment step.
