Abstract
Additive manufacturing methods include iteratively fusing together a plurality of layers of additive material to build a brazeable additive structure. The additive material comprises a mixture comprising a base alloy and a second alloy and the second alloy comprises a sufficient amount of melting point depressant to have a lower melting temperature than the base alloy.
Claims20
An additive manufacturing method comprising:
- iteratively fusing together a plurality of layers of additive material to build a brazeable additive structure;
- wherein, the additive material comprises a mixture comprising a base alloy and a second alloy;
- and,
- wherein the second alloy comprises a sufficient amount of melting point depressant to have a lower melting temperature than the base alloy.

A brazeable additive structure comprising:
- a plurality of layers of additive material fused together;
- wherein, the additive material comprises a mixture comprising a base alloy and a second alloy;
- and,
- wherein the second alloy comprises a sufficient amount of melting point depressant to have a lower melting temperature than the base alloy.
1 more element
A hybrid article comprising:
- a base structure comprising a surface;
- and,
- a brazeable additive structure joined to the surface of the base structure, the brazeable additive structure comprising a plurality of layers of additive material fused together, wherein, the additive material comprises a mixture comprising a base alloy and a second alloy, and wherein the second alloy comprises a sufficient amount of melting point depressant to have a lower melting temperature than the base alloy.
