Abstract
A method of controlling an endoscope includes, inserting an insert part having an imaging unit at a distal end through the body; making an imaging direction of the imaging unit variable by bending of a bending part, wherein the bending part is included in the insert part; detecting an amount of insertion of the insert part through the body; and determining whether the bending part is to be bent or not on the basis of operation of a direction input part depending on the amount of insertion.
Claims10
A method of controlling an endoscope comprising:
- inserting an insert part having an imaging unit at a distal end through the body;
- making an imaging direction of the imaging unit variable by bending of a bending part,
- wherein the bending part is included in the insert part;
- detecting an amount of insertion of the insert part through the body;
- and
- determining whether the bending part is to be bent or not on the basis of operation of a direction input part depending on the amount of insertion.
3 more elements
An endoscope system comprising:
- an insert part configured to be inserted through the body, which has an imaging unit provided at a distal end and a bending part capable of bending movement to make an imaging direction of the imaging unit variable;
- a control unit configured to implement an amount-of-insertion detection processing and a bending part control processing;
- wherein the amount-of-insertion detection processing detects an amount of insertion of the insert part through the body, and
- the bending part control processing is implemented on the basis of an amount of insertion detected by the amount-of-insertion detection processing to determine whether the bending part is to be bent or not on the basis of operation of a direction input part.
