Abstract
Compositions, comprising one or more amino acids selected from the group consisting of tryptophan, methionine, phenylalanine, valine, leucine, histidine, lysine and threonine, and isoleucine at a content of not more than 1.5 wt % relative to the total amount of the nutrition composition, provide a more economical and effective nutrition composition for suppressing the growth of hemocytozoon such as malaria parasite and the like.

A nutrition composition, comprising:
- (a) tryptophan, methionine, phenylalanine, valine, leucine, histidine, lysine, and threonine;
- and
- (b) optionally isoleucine, wherein when said isoleucine is present, it is present in an amount of not more than 1.5 wt % relative to the total amount of the nutrition composition.
A nutrition composition, comprising:
- (a) tryptophan, methionine, phenylalanine, valine, leucine, histidine, lysine, and threonine;
- and
- (b) optionally isoleucine, wherein when said isoleucine is present, it is present in an amount of not more than 3.8 wt % relative to the total amount of the amino acids.
A method of suppressing the growth of a hemocytozoon, comprising administering, to a vertebrate in need thereof, an effective amount of a nutrition composition comprising:
- (a) one or more amino acids selected from the group consisting of tryptophan, methionine, phenylalanine, valine, leucine, histidine, lysine, and threonine;
