Measurement Based eUICC Fall-Back

A card configured to be embedded in a radio device, the card comprises memory and circuitry, the circuitry configured to:

• receive a policy message, comprising information about a fall-back policy including a fall-back timer;
• store a device fall-back policy comprising information about a device fall-back timer based on the received policy message;
• determine that the radio device experiences a problem with a wireless network connection from a first subscription of the radio device with a first network operator;
• start the device fall-back timer in accordance with the stored fall-back policy in response to said determining;
• and
• fall back in accordance with the stored fall-back policy in response to the started fall-back timer having expired, thereby allowing the radio device to have a wireless network connection from a second subscription of the radio device instead of from the first subscription.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing computer program code that, when run on circuitry of a card embedded in a radio device, causes the card to:

• receive a policy message, comprising information about a fall-back policy including a fall-back timer;
• store a device fall-back policy comprising information about a device fall-back timer based on the received policy message;
• determine that the radio device experiences a problem with a wireless network connection from a first subscription of the radio device with a first network operator;
• start the device fall-back timer in accordance with the stored fall-back policy in response to said determining;
• and
• fall back in accordance with the stored fall-back policy in response to the started fall-back timer having expired, thereby allowing the radio device to have a wireless network connection from a second subscription of the radio device instead of from the first subscription.
