Display apparatus

A display apparatus comprising:

• a display panel;
• a deformation sensor configured to sense a bending of the display panel;
• and
• a controller configured to:
• control the display panel and detect the bending using the deformation sensor;
• control displaying a first icon corresponding to a first application in a first icon arrangement area;
• detect a first touch input selecting the first icon;
• detect a first bending of the display panel;
• determine that an execution command executing the first application is input according to the first bending to generate a first control signal;
• and
• execute the first application in response to the first control signal.

A display apparatus comprising:

• a display panel;
• a deformation sensor configured to sense a bending of the display panel;
• and
• a controller configured to:
• control the display panel and detect the bending using the deformation sensor;
• divide the display panel into a visible area perceived by a user and a non-visible area not perceived by the user due to the bending, which are defined in the display panel, according to the bending of the display panel;
• and
• drive the non-visible area in a power saving mode.
