A display device including a plurality of pixels, comprising:

• a first substrate;
• a second substrate;
• and
• a plurality of subpixels composing the plurality of pixels,
• wherein the first substrate comprises;
• a plurality of gate wirings extending in a first direction;
• a plurality of source wirings extending in a second direction that is different from the first direction;
• a plurality of common electrodes extending in the second direction, which is arranged in the first direction via a slit;
• and
• a plurality of metal wirings arranged in the first direction,
• the plurality of subpixels include a first subpixel having a first color, and a second subpixel adjacent each other in the first direction;
• the plurality of common electrodes includes a first common electrode and a second common electrode adjacent each other via the slit;
• the first common electrode overlaps the first subpixel and the second common electrode overlaps the second subpixel;
• the plurality of the metal wirings contact the plurality of common electrodes;
• the slit;
• the first common electrode overlaps the first subpixel and the second common electrode overlaps the second subpixel;
• the plurality of the metal wirings contact the plurality of common electrodes;
• one of the source wirings overlaps the slit;
• a material of the common electrode is a transparent conductive material;
• and
• a material of the metal wiring is a light shielding conductive material.
