Method for processing signals collected by pixels of a detector

A method for processing signals collected by pixels of a detector, each pixel being able to collect a signal under the effect of radiation to which the detector is subjected, comprising:

• identifying a pixel, termed the affected pixel, collecting a signal greater than a threshold,
• defining at least one adjacent pixel of the affected pixel, and, for each adjacent pixel:
• selecting a first comparison group associated with said affected pixel and a second comparison group associated with said adjacent pixel, each comparison group comprising a plurality of pixels, said first and second comparison groups not comprising any pixel in common,
• determining a signal collected by each of the comparison groups, the signal collected by each of the comparison groups corresponding to a value representative of the signals collected by the various pixels of said each of the groups,
• comparing the signals collected by each comparison group, so as to determine the comparison group that has collected the highest signal,
• declaring said affected pixel as winning pixel if the group associated with the affected pixel exhibits a collected signal greater than the signal collected by each group associated with an adjacent pixel of said affected pixel.
