Proximity-sensing device

A proximity-sensing device for detecting movement of an external object in prox-imity thereto, comprising:

• an emitter die configured to emit a radiation;
• a first optical element in optical communication with the emitter die;
• a receiver die configured to receive the radiation reflected by the external object;
• a second optical element in optical communication with the receiver die;
• and
• a body substantially covering the emitter die and the receiver die, wherein the body comprises:
• a first surface configured to face the external object;
• a first opening formed on the first surface of the body, the first opening configured to accommodate the first optical element;
• a second opening formed on the first surface of the body adjacent to the first opening, the second opening configured to accommodate the second optical element;
• and
• an optical structure provided on the first surface of the body, wherein the optical structure is formed adjacent to and in direct contact with at least one of the first opening and the second opening.
