Reprogramming t cells and hematopoietic cells

A method for producing induced pluripotent stem cells from T cells or CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells comprising the steps of:

• (a) obtaining a cell population comprising T cells or CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells, wherein the CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells are from a subject whose cells have not been mobilized with extrinsically applied granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF);
• and
• (b) producing iPS cells from the T cells or CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells of the cell population through the introduction of nucleic acids encoding reprogramming factors comprised in one or more viral vectors, and culturing the cells under defined, feeder-free conditions to provide an iPS cell population.
