A population of tissue-specific progenitor cells produced by a method comprising the steps of:
- co-culturing a CD14+ cell, a tissue-specific mesenchymal stem cell (MSC), and a pluripotent cell in vitro until the pluripotent cell differentiates into the desired tissue-specific progenitor cell.
A cell culture composition comprising a CD14+ cell, a tissue-specific MSC, and a pluripotent cell.
A cell culture composition comprising a CD14+ cell, a tissue-specific MSC, a pluripotent cell, and a tissue-specific progenitor cell.
A method of treating a disorder associated with aberrant loss of normal cell function comprising the step of administering to an individual in need thereof a tissue-specific progenitor cell produced by a method comprising the steps of:
- co-culturing a CD14+ cell, a tissue-specific mesenchymal stem cell (MSC), and a pluripotent cell in vitro until the pluripotent cell differentiates into the desired tissue-specific progenitor cell.
A method of in vitro screening for compounds that modulate tissue-specific progenitor cells, the method comprising the steps of:
- co-culturing a CD14+ cell, a tissue-specific MSC, and a pluripotent cell in vitro until the pluripotent cell differentiates into the desired tissue-specific progenitor cell;
- and
- contacting the progenitor cell with the compound.
A method of in vitro screening for compounds that modulate tissue-specific progenitor cell development, the method comprising the steps of:
- co-culturing a CD14+ cell, a tissue-specific MSC, and a pluripotent cell in vitro in the presence of the compound.
A method for culturing a malignant cell in vitro, the method comprising the step of:
- co-culturing the malignant cell with a CD14+ cell such that the malignant cell proliferates.
A cell culture composition comprising a CD14+ cell, an MSC, and a malignant cell.
A method for culturing a CD34+ cell in vitro, the method comprising the step of:
- co-culturing a CD34+ cell with a CD14+ cell in vitro such that the CD34+ cell proliferates.
