Abstract
A data processing apparatus has a de-compressor and an input interface. The de-compressor de-compresses a compressed display data in an input bitstream. The input interface receives the input bitstream from another data processing apparatus via a display interface, parses indication information included in the input bitstream, and configures the de-compressor to employ a de-compression algorithm according to the indication information.

A data processing apparatus comprising:
- a de-compressor, arranged for de-compressing a compressed display data in an input bitstream;
- and
- an input interface, arranged for receiving the input bitstream from another data processing apparatus via a display interface, parsing indication information included in the input bitstream, and configuring the de-compressor to employ a de-compression algorithm according to the indication information.
A data processing apparatus comprising:
- a de-compressor, arranged for de-compressing a compressed display data in a first input bitstream;
- and
- an input interface, arranged for receiving the first input bitstream and a second input bitstream from another data processing apparatus via a display interface, parsing first indication information included in the first input bitstream and second indication information included in the second input bitstream, and configuring the de-compressor to employ a de-compression algorithm according to the first indication information;
- wherein the first indication information is different from the second indication information.

- a first driver circuit comprising:
- a de-compressor, arranged for de-compressing a compressed display data in an input bitstream when an identification (ID) number in the input bitstream corresponds to the first driver circuit;
- and
- an input interface, arranged for receiving the input bitstream from another data processing apparatus via a display interface, parsing indication information included in the input bitstream, and configuring the de-compressor to employ a de-compression algorithm according to the indication information;
- and
- a second driver circuit, wherein the input bitstream is dispatched to the second driver circuit when the ID number in the input bitstream corresponds to the second driver circuit.
