Display apparatus, display control method, and computer program

A display control method comprising:

• displaying, on a display surface, a screen of an application program running on an information processing apparatus;
• detecting a position of a pointer on the display surface;
• transmitting an inquiry including information indicating the detected position to the information processing apparatus;
• receiving, as a reply to the inquiry, a determination result concerning whether the position is present within a first range including an image object for performing an input to the application program on the screen;
• drawing, when an operation mode of the display apparatus is a first mode, on the display surface, a line corresponding to a track of the detected position;
• transmitting, when the operation mode is a second mode, the information indicating the detected position to the information processing apparatus;
• and
• switching, when the operation mode is the first mode, the operation mode to the second mode when the determination result indicating that the detected position is within the first range is received.

A computer program for causing a computer to execute the steps of:

• displaying, with a display apparatus, on a display surface, a screen of an application program running on the computer;
• acquiring a detected position of a pointer on the display surface;
• determining whether the position is present within a first range including a first image object for performing an input to the application program on the screen;
• drawing, when an operation mode of the display apparatus is a first mode, on the display surface, a line corresponding to a track of the detected position;
• displaying, when the operation mode is a second mode, a second image object in the detected position;
• and
• switching, when the operation mode is the first mode, the operation mode to the second mode when it is determined that the detected position is within the first range.
