Compositions comprising phenolic biopolymers and a liquid medium comprising a halogenated polyol as well as their preparation and their use in the manufacture of polyurethane foams and premixes are disclosed.

A composition comprising a phenolic biopolymer in a liquid medium wherein the liquid medium comprises a halogenated polyol.
A process for the production of a composition comprising a phenolic biopolymer in a liquid medium, wherein the liquid medium comprises a halogenated polyol, the process comprising agitating, in a mill, the phenolic biopolymer, the halogenated polyol and a solid grinding medium not permanently connected to the mill.
