Childproof discharging device

A discharging device for a dispenser for discharging pharmaceutical liquids, said discharging device including:

• a housing having a coupling geometry for mounting on a liquid storage unit,
• an applicator tip having a discharge opening arranged on a distal end, and
• a protective cap,
• wherein
• the discharging device includes an actuation unit including the applicator tip which is displaceable in an axial direction in relation to the housing and has a finger support surface, wherein liquid originating from the liquid storage unit can be output through the discharge opening into a surrounding atmosphere by the actuation unit,
• the applicator tip comprises an external thread and the protective cap comprises an internal thread which interacts with the external thread of the applicator tip,
• at least one locking tooth is provided on the protective cap and at least one counter tooth is provided on the applicator tip, wherein when the protective cap is rotated relative to the applicator tip in a first direction for screwing on the protective cap, the at least one locking tooth overruns the at least one counter tooth and, after overrunning, the at least one locking tooth and the at least one counter tooth prevent a rotation in a second direction opposite to the first direction for unscrewing the protective cap, and the protective cap is resiliently deformable at least in portions in order to disengage the at least one locking tooth and the at least one counter tooth as a result of resiliently deforming the protective cap.

A discharging device for a dispenser for discharging pharmaceutical liquids, said discharging device including:

• a housing having a coupling geometry for mounting on a liquid storage unit,
• an applicator tip having a discharge opening arranged on a distal end, and
• a protective cap,
• wherein
• the discharging device includes an actuation unit including the applicator tip which is displaceable in an axial direction in relation to the housing and has a finger support surface, wherein liquid originating from the liquid storage unit can be output through the discharge opening into a surrounding atmosphere by the actuation unit,
• the actuation unit is mounted on the housing so as to be non-rotatable and displaceable in the axial direction, the applicator tip comprises an external thread and the protective cap comprises an internal thread which interacts with the external thread of the applicator tip, at least one locking tooth is provided on the protective cap and at least one counter tooth is provided on the applicator tip, wherein when the protective cap is rotated relative to the applicator tip in a first direction for screwing on the protective cap, the at least one locking tooth overruns the at least one counter tooth and, after overrunning, the at least one locking tooth and the at least one counter tooth prevent a rotation in a direction opposite to the first direction for unscrewing the protective cap, and
• the protective cap is resiliently deformable at least in portions in order to disengage the at least one locking tooth and the at least one counter tooth as a result of resiliently deforming the protective cap.

A discharging device for a dispenser for discharging pharmaceutical liquids, said discharging device including:

• a housing having a coupling geometry for mounting on a liquid storage unit,
• an applicator tip having a discharge opening arranged on a distal end, and
• a protective cap,
• wherein
• the discharging device includes an actuation unit including the applicator tip which is displaceable in an axial direction in relation to the housing and has a finger support surface, wherein liquid originating from the liquid storage unit can be output through the discharge opening into a surrounding atmosphere by the actuation unit,
• the actuation unit is mounted in the housing so as to be rotatable relative to the housing and displaceable in the axial direction,
• the applicator tip comprises an external thread and the protective cap comprises an internal thread which interacts with the external thread of the applicator tip,
• at least one locking tooth is provided on the protective cap and at least one counter tooth is provided on the applicator tip, wherein when the protective cap is rotated relative to the applicator tip in a first direction for screwing on the protective cap, the at least one locking tooth overruns the at least one counter tooth and, after overrunning, the at least one locking tooth and the at least one counter tooth prevent a rotation in a second direction opposite to the first direction for unscrewing the protective cap, and
• the protective cap is resiliently deformable at least in portions in order to disengage the at least one locking tooth and the at least one counter tooth as a result of resiliently deforming the protective cap.

A discharging device for a dispenser for discharging pharmaceutical liquids, said discharging device including:

• a housing having a coupling geometry for mounting on a liquid storage unit,
• an applicator tip having a discharge opening arranged on a distal end, and
• a protective cap,
• wherein
• the discharging device includes an actuation unit which is displaceable in an axial direction in relation to the housing and has a finger support surface, wherein liquid originating from the liquid storage unit can be output through the discharge opening into a surrounding atmosphere by the actuation unit, the actuation unit is mounted in the housing so as to be rotatable relatively to the housing and displaceable in the axial direction,
• the applicator tip comprises an external thread and the protective cap comprises an internal thread which interacts with the external thread of the applicator tip, at least one locking tooth is provided on the protective cap and at least one counter tooth is provided on the applicator tip, wherein when the protective cap is rotated relative to the applicator tip in a first direction for screwing on the protective cap, the at least one locking tooth overruns the at least one counter tooth and, after overrunning, the at least one locking tooth and the at least one counter tooth prevent a rotation in a second direction opposite to the first direction for unscrewing the protective cap, and
• the protective cap is resiliently deformable at least in portions in order to disengage the at least one locking tooth and the at least one counter tooth as a result of resiliently deforming the protective cap.

A discharging device for a pharmaceutical liquid dispenser, said discharging device comprising:

• a housing including a coupling geometry configured for attachment to a liquid storage unit;
• an elongated applicator element defining an axis and including a proximal end disposed adjacent said housing and terminating at a distal end spaced axially from said proximal end, said applicator element having an external surface extending from said proximal end to said distal end and having a diameter which continuously decreases in a direction from said proximal end towards said distal end to provide said external surface with a substantially frustoconical shape between said proximal and distal ends, said external surface being substantially dome-shaped at said distal end of said applicator element to facilitate insertion of said distal end of said applicator element into a nasal cavity, said applicator element defining a discharge opening which opens through said external surface at said distal end, and said applicator element including an external thread extending along said external surface;
• and
• a protective cap including an inner surface and a hollow interior configured to receive said applicator element therein, said protective cap including an internal thread extending along said inner surface and disposed to threadingly engage said external thread of said applicator element to secure said protective cap on said applicator element.

A discharging device for a pharmaceutical liquid dispenser, said discharging device comprising:

• a housing having a portion configured for coupling to a liquid storage unit;
• an applicator arrangement defining an axis, said applicator arrangement being connected to said housing and having a proximal end disposed adjacent thereto, said applicator arrangement including:
• a nasal applicator tip having an elongated and substantially frustoconical shape along an entire axial extent thereof which terminates in a smoothly-rounded distal end spaced from said proximal end to facilitate insertion of said nasal applicator tip into a nasal cavity, said distal end defining therein a discharge opening through which pharmaceutical liquid is expelled, said nasal applicator tip including a thread arrangement disposed thereon;
• a finger support element fixed to said nasal applicator tip and defining a surface thereon oriented substantially perpendicular to the axis;
• and
• a toothing arrangement disposed immediately adjacent said surface of said finger support element;
• a protective cap including an inner surface and a hollow interior configured to receive said nasal applicator tip therein and a thread arrangement disposed on said inner surface to threadingly engage said thread arrangement of said nasal applicator tip when said protective cap and said nasal applicator tip are rotated relative to one another in a first rotational direction about the axis to secure said protective cap to said nasal applicator tip, said protective cap including a toothing arrangement disposed to cooperate with said toothing arrangement of said applicator arrangement to prevent removal of said protective cap from said nasal applicator tip when said protective cap and said nasal applicator tip are rotated relative to one another in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.
