Abstract
Electric motors are disclosed. The motors are preferably for use in an automated vehicle, although any one or more of a variety of motor uses are suitable. The motors include lift, turntable, and locomotion motors.
Claims21
A motor for use in a machine, said motor comprising:
- a rotor rotatable about an axis;
- a stator including a core and wiring;
- a housing defining a motor chamber,
- said motor chamber at least substantially receiving the rotor and the stator,
- said housing including a generally radially extending surface,
- said surface and said core defining an axially extending space therebetween;
- and
- a circumferentially extending ring at least in part disposed axially between the core and the housing,
- said ring at least substantially spanning the space and at least in part restricting relative axial shifting between the core and the housing.
