Control device for turbocharger

A control device for a turbocharger for supplying compressed intake air to an internal combustion engine, comprising:

• a storage part configured to pre-store a map which defines a relationship between at least one characteristic parameter and an efficiency of the turbocharger;
• a detection part configured to detect the at least one characteristic parameter of the turbocharger;
• a calculation part configured to obtain the efficiency of the turbocharger on the basis of the detected at least one characteristic parameter;
• a determination part configured to determine presence of deterioration of the turbocharger by comparing the detected at least one characteristic parameter and the obtained efficiency with the map;
• and
• an informing part configured to inform a user of a maintenance request if the determination part determines that the deterioration is present.
