Self-referencing sensors for aircraft monitoring

A computer-readable medium storing instructions executable by one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• receiving a plurality of first signals from a plurality of meta sensors mounted on-board an aircraft, each meta sensor associated with a respective wireless aircraft sensor mounted on-board the aircraft, the plurality of first signals identifying locations on the aircraft of a plurality of wireless aircraft sensors with which the plurality of meta sensors are associated, each wireless aircraft sensor configured to sense an aircraft parameter of the aircraft;
• determining the locations on the aircraft of the plurality of wireless aircraft sensors based, at least in part, on the plurality of first signals;
• receiving a plurality of second signals from the plurality of wireless aircraft sensors, the plurality of second signals identifying a plurality of aircraft parameters that the plurality of wireless aircraft sensors are configured to sense;
• and
• determining a plurality of aircraft monitoring operations that the plurality of wireless aircraft sensors are configured to perform based, at least in part, on the plurality of aircraft parameters that the plurality of wireless aircraft sensors are configured to sense and on the locations on the aircraft of the plurality of wireless aircraft sensors.
