System, method and devices for tissue-based diagnosis

A kit for at least partly liquefying tissue, comprising:

• a liquefaction promoting medium (LPM) comprising:
• an abrasive material in a concentration range in the LPM of 0.01-99% (w/v);
• and
• 3-(decyl dimethyl ammonia) propane sulfonate and polyethylene glycol dodecyl ether in a total surfactant concentration in the LPM of 0.01-20% (w/v);
• instructions, the instructions comprising directing a user to treat a tissue of a living subject by:
• applying the LPM to the tissue of the living subject, the tissue comprising at least one of skin and mucosal membrane;
• and
• transmitting mechanical energy through the abrasive material to the tissue of the living subject in the presence of the LPM,
• the kit being effective to cause at least partial dissolution of one or more components of the tissue of the living subject.
