Flexible Cushioning Device for Shoes and Methods of Producing the Same

A method of preparing a cushioning device for cushioning a part of the body of a user, comprising

• i. determining pressure distribution generated by different locations of said part of the body;
• ii. positioning energy field generators which produce different field strengths, said strengths being proportional to said pressure distribution of said different locations;
• and
• iii. coupling a packet of field responsive fluid with said energy field generators,
• wherein, the viscosity of said fluid can be adjusted by said fields such that different locations of said part of the body will receive different supports from said cushioning device during use.
