Image data creation device and programmable display device

An image data creation device comprising:

• a rectangular region setting section which divides a background image which is an image displayed, as a background, on a programmable display device into a plurality of rectangular regions and defines a position and a size of each of the plurality of rectangular regions;
• and
• a component setting section which, in a case where an operation, in which a component image, which is an image of a component that is at least one of an object for having a given function and an object for displaying given data, is arranged with respect to the background image, is conducted, (a) determines in which one of the plurality of rectangular regions the component image should be arranged, (b) defines component setting in which the rectangular region which is in the background image and in which the component image has been arranged is associated with the component image, and (c) carries out setting so that the component image is displayed, in the rectangular region with which the component image is associated in the component setting, in a position or a size in accordance with a size of the rectangular region.
