A method for device trigger in IoT subsidiarily by a target device, wherein the method comprises:

• obtaining a data subscription request sent by a network device;
• providing subscribed data corresponding to the data subscription request to the network device based on the data subscription request.

A network device for device trigger in IoT, wherein the device comprises:

• request obtaining module configured to obtain device trigger request(s) corresponding to one or more target devices;
• response determining module configured to determine, based on the device trigger request in conjunction with subscribed data corresponding to the target device, a device trigger response corresponding to the device trigger request.

A target device for device trigger in IoT subsidiarily, wherein the device comprises:

• subscription obtaining module configured to obtain a data subscription request sent by a network device;
• and,
• data providing module configured to provide subscribed data corresponding to the data subscription request to the network device based on the data subscription request.
