Circumferential walker

An orthopedic device, comprising:

• a posterior shell having ankle and foot receiving portions, and first and second wing portions forming an opening over a dorsal aspect thereof;
• a plurality of clearance holes defined in the first and second wing portions of the posterior shell;
• a dorsal shell contoured to substantially correspond to the opening of the posterior shell, the dorsal shell including a proximal member and a distal member hingedly connected to the proximal member;
• a pump assembly receiving opening defined in the proximal member of the dorsal shell, and arranged to receive a pump assembly;
• and
• a raised portion extending longitudinally along an exterior surface of the dorsal shell.

An orthopedic device, comprising:

• a posterior shell having ankle and foot receiving portions, and first and second wing portions forming an opening over a dorsal aspect thereof;
• a dorsal shell contoured to substantially correspond to the opening of the posterior shell, the dorsal shell including a proximal member and a distal member hingedly connected to the proximal member via a hinge mechanism;
• a pump assembly receiving opening defined in the proximal member of the dorsal shell, the pump assembly receiving hole having a tapered ridge extending around a periphery thereof;
• a plurality of clearance holes defined in the first and second wing portions of the posterior shell;
• a raised portion extending longitudinally along an exterior surface of the dorsal shell;
• an inflatable bladder disposed in at least the ankle receiving portion of the posterior shell;
• and
• a pump assembly including a flexible bulb pump inserted through the pump assembly receiving opening, the pump assembly in fluid communication with the inflatable bladder.
