Portable manipulation command input device and apparatus equipped with manipulation command input device

A portable manipulation command input device comprising:

• an input unit configured to receive input of a manipulation command associated with an operation of an apparatus main unit;
• a display unit configured to display information on the apparatus main unit;
• a communication unit configured to communicate with the apparatus main unit to receive the information and send a manipulation command signal conveying the manipulation command to the apparatus main unit,
• the portable manipulation command input device provided to be attachable to and removable from the apparatus main unit, and configured to display the information and manipulate the apparatus main unit;
• and
• a detection unit and a restriction unit formed in collaboration with the apparatus main unit,
• the detection unit configured to detect the portable manipulation command input device being placed within a predetermined range of the apparatus main unit,
• the restriction unit configured to allow display of the information and a manipulation of the apparatus main unit when the detection unit detects the portable manipulation command input device being placed within the predetermined range, and to restrict a manipulation of the apparatus main unit while allowing display of the information when the portable manipulation command input device is placed out of the range.
