Device-Group Snapshot

A system comprising:

• a non-transitory computer-readable medium;
• and
• program instructions stored on the non-transitory computer-readable medium and executable by a processor to cause a hub device to:
• communicate with one or more other devices in a device group comprising the hub device and the one or more other devices;
• detect a change in context associated with the hub device, wherein the change in context comprises a change from a first context to a second context;
• and
• responsive to the detection of the change in context:
• select one or more devices from the device group to include in a device-group snapshot, wherein the one or more devices are selected based at least in part on mapping data that maps certain devices to certain context changes, and wherein the one or more devices includes the hub device;
• determine a state for each selected device;
• and
• store a data record corresponding to the device-group snapshot, wherein the stored data record for the device-group snapshot comprises:
• (i) an indication that the device-group snapshot is associated with the first context, and (ii) a state record for each selected device, wherein the state record comprises (a) an identifier of the selected device and (b) the determined state of the selected device, wherein the determined state of the selected device comprises an indication of an operating mode of the selected device.
