Abstract
A computing system can include a platform firmware to monitor hardware errors and to notify an operating system when a corrective action is to be performed to address a hardware error. The computing system can also include an extended error log to describe a hardware error. The computing system can further include an action record to direct the operating system to perform the corrective action to address the hardware error.

A computing system, comprising:
- a platform firmware to monitor hardware errors and to notify an operating system when a corrective action is to be performed to address a hardware error;
- an extended error log to describe a hardware error;
- and
- an action record to direct the operating system to perform the corrective action to address the hardware error.

- logic to receive, in platform firmware, an error log indicating a hardware error in the computing system;
- logic to determine that an operating system is to perform corrective action to address the hardware error;
