Flip-Through Format to View Notification and Related Items

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium embodying a computer program for performing a method, said method comprising:

• an engine displaying a view of a first message on a touch screen of a mobile device;
• in response to a first swipe across the touch screen in a first direction,
• the engine displaying from a cache, a view of a second message received prior to the first message;
• and
• in response to a second swipe across the touch screen in a second direction opposite to the first direction, the engine returning to display the view of the first message from the cache.

A computer system comprising:

• one or more processors of a mobile device;
• a software program, executable on said computer system, the software program configured to:
• display a view of a first message on a touch screen of a mobile device;
• in response to a first swipe across the touch screen in a first direction,
• display from a cache, a view of a second message received prior to the first message;
• and
• where the view of the first message has been erased from the cache, re-load the view of the first message into the cache;
• and
• in response to a second swipe across the touch screen in a second direction opposite to the first direction, return to display the view of the first message from the cache.
