Display apparatus and control method thereof

A method of controlling a display apparatus, the method comprising:

• displaying a content image;
• receiving at least one from among rotation information corresponding to a user's rotating operation and touch information corresponding to a user's touching operation from an input device;
• determining a kind of content corresponding to the displayed content image;
• and
• executing a control command corresponding to at least one from among the rotation information and the touch information received from the input device based on the determined kind of content, from a database where control commands for controlling operations of the processor corresponding to a plurality of pieces of the rotation information and a plurality of pieces of the touch information are designated according to kinds of content.

A system comprising:

• a display apparatus;
• and
• an input device configured to output at least one from among rotation information corresponding to a user's rotating operation and touch information corresponding to a user's touching operation,
• wherein the display apparatus comprises:
• a processor configured to process a content image to be displayed on the display;
• a storage configured to store a database where control commands for controlling operations of the processor corresponding to a plurality of pieces of the rotation information and a plurality of pieces of the touch information are designated according to kinds of contents;
• and
• a controller configured to determine a kind of content corresponding to the content image being displayed on the display in response to receiving at least one from among the rotation information and the touch information, from an input device, and configured to control the processor to execute a control command corresponding to the received rotation information or the received touch information from the database based on the determined kind of content.
