Filling device and method for detecting a filling process

A combination scale comprising:

• a filling device comprising
• a transport area supplied with products from a loading device;
• a first sensor for capturing and forwarding of a product occupation information on the transport area;
• and
• a controller;
• wherein the first sensor captures at least a partial area of the transport area;
• and
• wherein the controller divides the at least partial area captured by the first sensor virtually into a plurality of sectors.

A method for capturing a filling process of a filling device,

• the filling device comprising
• a transport area supplied with products from a loading device;
• a sensor for capturing and forwarding of a product occupation information on the transport area;
• and
• a controller;
• wherein the sensor captures at least a partial area of the transport area;
• and
• wherein the controller divides the at least partial area captured by the sensor virtually into a plurality of sectors;
• the method comprising the steps of:
• (a) filling of the transport area with a product;
• (b) dividing the transport area into a plurality of sectors or a plurality of zones;
• (c) capturing of at least a partial sector of the transport area with the sensor;
• (d) determining of the product occupation information for at least one predetermined sector or one predetermined zone by the sensor;
• (e) displaying of the at least one sector or the at least one zone;
• and
• (f) outputting of the product occupation information specific for the one predetermined sector or the one predetermined zone on a display.
