Abstract
The present invention is intended to prove a technique useful for controlling the reaction of oxidoreductase, and to provide a reaction system allowing efficient conversion from carbon dioxide to formic acid, and an efficient methanol production system including the reaction system. The reverse redox reaction is selectively promoted by carrying out the reaction catalyzed by an oxidoreductase using an artificial electron carrier. The reaction system is used for the production of methanol.
Claims25
A method for selectively promoting a reverse redox reaction, comprising carrying out the reaction catalyzed by an oxidoreductase using an artificial electron carrier.
A method for selectively promoting reverse redox reaction, comprising carrying out the reaction catalyzed by an oxidoreductase using a viologen compound or a bipyridinium salt derivative as an electron carrier.
A method of converting carbon dioxide into formic acid, comprising carrying out the enzymatic reaction catalyzed by formate dehydrogenase using a viologen compound or a bipyridinium salt derivative as an electron carrier in the presence of carbon dioxide.
A method of producing methanol from carbon dioxide, comprising the following steps (1) and (2):
- (1) a step of forming the conditions where formate dehydrogenase, aldehyde dehydrogenase, alcohol dehydrogenase, a viologen compound or a bipyridinium salt derivative, an electron donor, a photosensitizer, and carbon dioxide coexist in a solution, and
- (2) applying light to the solution.
A hydrogen production reaction unit comprising an insoluble support, and a hydrogenase, an artificial electron carrier, and a photosensitizer which are immobilized on the insoluble support.
A hydrogen production reactor comprising the hydrogen production reaction unit and a liquid phase retainer which retains a liquid containing an electron donor, wherein the liquid phase retainer is provided on the region in which a hydrogenase, an artificial electron carrier and a photosensitizer are immobilized in the insoluble support of the hydrogen production reaction unit.
