Claims20
A medical device for delivering liquid embolic to a target site comprising:
- a delivery device;
- an expansile member disposed around a distal end of the delivery device;
- a retaining member securing the expansile member to the distal end of the delivery device.
A method of preventing proximal flow of a liquid being delivered into a vessel in a distal direction comprising:
- placing a distal end of a delivery device at a desired location in a vessel;
- sealing a circumferential gap between the distal end of the delivery device and a wall of the vessel;
- injecting a liquid into the vessel through a lumen of the delivery device in a distal direction.
A system for occluding blood flow comprising:
- an expansile member;
- a retaining member surrounding the expansile member and containing openings through which the expansile member expands when assuming an expanded state.
