Abstract
A method of manufacture for a vaginal insert. The vaginal insert may have a core, a cover, and a removal element. In various embodiments, the cover can be conformed to the vaginal insert.
Claims26
A method of conforming a cover to a vaginal insert, the method comprising the steps of:
- a. providing a core, the core comprising:
- i. an anchoring element;
- ii. a supporting element;
- and
- iii. a node connecting the anchoring element and the supporting element;
- b. providing a cover blank, the cover blank comprising:
- i. a first layer of material and a second layer of material in a face-to-face relationship with the first layer of material;
- and
- ii. a first side seam and a second side seam bonding the first layer of material to the second layer of material;
- c. inserting the core into the cover blank to form a core and cover blank combination;
- d. converting the cover blank to a cover;
- and
- e. conforming the cover to the core in the area of the node of the core.
A method of conforming a cover to a vaginal insert, the method comprising the steps of:
- a. providing a core, the core comprising:
- i. an anchoring element;
- ii. a supporting element;
- and
- iii. a node connecting the anchoring element and the supporting element;
- b. providing a cover blank, the cover blank comprising:
- i. a first layer of material and a second layer of material in a face-to-face relationship with the first layer of material;
- and
- ii. a first side seam and a second side seam bonding the first layer of material to the second layer of material;
- c. inserting the core into the cover blank to create a core and cover blank combination;
- d. converting the cover blank to a cover;
- e. providing a band of material;
- f. encircling the band of material around the cover at the location of the node of the core;
- and
- g. attaching the band of material to the cover at the location of the node of the core.
A method of conforming a cover to a vaginal insert, the method comprising the steps of:
- a. providing a core, the core comprising:
- i. a longitudinal axis;
- and
- ii. symmetry about the longitudinal axis;
- b. providing a cover blank, the cover blank comprising:
- i. a longitudinal axis;
- and
- ii. symmetry about the longitudinal axis when viewed in a flat, two-dimensional configuration;
- c. inserting the core into the cover blank;
- d. converting the cover blank into a cover;
- e. conforming the cover to the core.
A method of conforming a cover to a core, the method comprising the steps of:
- a. providing a core;
- b. proving a cover blank;
- c. inserting the core within the cover blank;
- d. converting the cover blank into a cover;
- e. reducing a dimension of the cover;
- and
- f. maintaining the reduced dimension of the cover.
