A bearing component comprising:
- a first cage cup formed from at least one first element configured to receive rolling elements;
- and
- a first flange formed from at least one second element and connected to a periphery of the first cage cup.
A method for manufacturing a bearing component, the method comprising:
- forming a first cage cup from at least one first element configured to receive rolling elements;
- forming a first flange from at least one second element;
- and
- connecting the first flange to a periphery of the first cage cup.
