The method and system include computing hardware which is operable to execute one or more software products for providing a graphical user interface for enabling user-manipulation of the source data to generate intermediate content. In addition, the method and system include a translation arrangement for translating the intermediate content to the device-optimized content. The translation arrangement takes into account rendering characteristics of one or more wireless-enabled portable rendering devices on which the device-optimized content is to be rendered.
